Monaco Boat Show Superyacht Mania

Aug 26, 2010

Four weeks to go until Monaco, I can’t wait to be finally heading out to Port Hercules! With over 100 superyachts at least 100 foot long to swoon over during the day and fabulous parties every night, Monaco mania is revving up her engines already!

Some of the featured big babes are going to be truly awesome! From 162 foot aluminium explorer motor yachts, to 200 foot astro-blue steel hull and oyster-white aluminium displacement yachts, and yachts with on board cinemas and gyms, it’s the eyes that will be constantly popping, never mind champagne corks!

Talking of celebration, definitely up for the RINA Society’s Green Plus Yacht Award 2010 for the best boat built to comply with the strictest environmental regulations. Last year, the 134 foot motor yacht, Ocean Emerald, built by the Italian Rodriquez shipyard with world renowned architect Sir Norman Foster, and one of Dream Marine’s finest charter vessels, was presented the top honours for greenest yacht.

Also not to be missed will be the invitation only Captain’s Party, at the utterly divine Fairmont Hotel, overlooking Monaco bay, where all the yacht captains and yachting industry top brass taking part in the show will be having a wonderfully intimate and relaxing soiree.

Monaco Yacht show supports the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation, so I wouldn’t be surprised to see him there, you never know, perhaps get a chance to talk megayachts ....
